Lets play a game - who can listen to the song 'Friday' the longest, without shooting themselves in the face. I feel like that's pretty self explanatory, but lets analyse, shall we?
Is it me, or is this song starting to grow on everyone? This tune of 'friday, friday' has been stuck in my head for over a month. I'm going to skip the chorus, as I think that part of the lyrics is okay, but I must rant on the verse and pre-chorus. "Seven a.m, waking up in the morning, gotta go downstairs, gotta have my bowl, gotta have cereal"... bla bla bla... We do not care! Why is she explaining her life story? I know im not an expert, but i still know a little something about lyrics and this is a big no-no! Where is the mystery and the hidden meaning which makes music so interesting? Lyrics should be about teaching the audience lessons and creating emotion... this girls biggest worry in life is whether she should have milo or fruit loops for breakfast.
Front seat, back seat - which seat should I takeee!!?? Is it going to make a difrerence? What were these writers thinking? Oh my god, when she starts to explain the days of the week... Is this song targeting teenagers or kindergarten children?
Another thing I must address is 13 year olds driving. Yes, I looked it up... i know im a weirdo, but Rebecca Black is actually around 13 years old. Why are they promoting under age driving?
I know some people really do enjoy this song, but anyone who really loves music should be able to see that this is not what music is about. All this time that people are spending laughing at songs like these, are pulling away from songs that actually mean something and true artists who are trying to express themselves and convey a heartfelt message to the public.
Present Rebecca Black a little better, slap on some new lyrics and u've got a perfectly good, catchy song.
lmaooo nice post the cereal thing was really weird lol
